For projects working with the Canadian government - Aboriginal negotiations, litigation and settlements, successful applicants will be included on Link ARC’s list of researchers/document management professionals who are available on an as-required basis. Work is categorized as Research Analysis, Research Services and Document Management.

Required Qualifications – Research Analysis:

- An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline including but not limited to history, native studies, social sciences, public history, Canadian studies, political science, geography or law;
- Minimum of one year full-time professional experience conducting research and writing reports, in the area of Aboriginal relations with the Crown.

Required Qualifications – Research Services:

- Two years or four complete semesters of full-time, post-secondary education in a relevant discipline such as but not necessarily limited to history, native studies, social sciences, public history, Canadian studies, political science, geography or law;
- Four months of full-time professional work experience (within the last ten years) conducting Research Services related activities in the area of Aboriginal relations with the Crown.

Required Qualifications – Document Management:

- Successful completion of high school, or equivalent.
- Four months experience conducting Document Management activities. Work does not need to be in the area of Aboriginal relations with the Crown.
- Experience organizing and sorting document sets, performing data entry and performing database quality control activities.

Other Criteria:

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work on-line from one’s own location;
- Work is contract-based, not salary-based;
- Experience working with databases in a research or business environment;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Aboriginal applicants will be given special consideration.
